We need more oil drilling to solve our energy problem, at least that’s what Newt the Loot Gingrich has to say. Heh, he was a joke in congress and a bigger one out of it. IMO he’s a dumbass of the highest order, right up there with fat ass Limbaugh. If brains were fire these two idiots don’t have enough brains between them to light a Bic lighter, once.
I guess I don’t understand all this energy crap. There are many studies that show, even with the offshore, Alaskan and protected Rocky Mountain oil, the world will be close to running out of oil by 2050. Hell, we haven’t discovered any new reserves in a lot of years.
Drilling for oil in protected areas is not going to solve our energy crisis in this country. Nor is growing food crops to convert into ethanol or biodiesel for our vehicles. What these people don’t seem to understand is we need a fundamental shift in our thinking and in our use of personal vechicles. Our way of life regarding vehicles is going to come to an end. Much sooner than we expect.
Sure, gas and oil are cheap now but as soon as the world wide recession is over it will go right back to where it was and I’d bet it will go even higher.
Yep, we have lots of coal and natural gas. To bad our vehicles don’t run on either. To bad coal is so dirty to burn and messes up the environment. You see, all these people advocating for electric cars to solve the oil problem don’t seem to realize they are creating a different problem and that problem can kill us instead of just causing major inconvenience. Don’t believe it, just remember how bad China’s air was during the Olympics. Perhaps these advocates of electric cars are going to mandate breathng masks be an accessory.
We need to be developing clean energy, not more dirty energy. It’s not going to cost anymore, and maybe less, to develop cleaner sources of energy than it costs to clean up the dirty processes we use now. Hell, even nuclear is better than what we have now.
You can live without vehicles, particularly without vehicles that poison our air and water. You can’t live without clean air and clean water tho. We need to be developing our wind and water power for more electricity, we need to be putting a lot more money into solar panel development and we need to be putting a ton more money into clean energy research.
Drill all you want, it isn’t going to solve the oil problem because there isn’t enough recoverable oil left in the world to solve the problem. To bad the big oil guys and supporters don’t seem to realize that. More drilling is a temporary, stop gap, exercise in futility.
Stop paying attention to the drill, drill, drill idiots and start screaming for more, better and cleaner energy and research. If we all don’t do this we are screwed.
