Well, the bailout bucks don’t seem to be helping so far. It’s to bad the idiots at congress didn’t demand as much control of the banks as they wanted of the automakers. If they had there are probably a few banks that wouldn’t be getting bailouts.
So they’ve spent half the money and things haven’t improved at all. Perhaps we, the people, need to baiiout on congrees and demand the recall of each and everyone of them. That would be a good thing. If congress was managed the way they wanted to manage the car companies they’d be squealing all the way home.
Incompetent idiots tryong to tell other incompetent idots how to run their business when congress own business is failing and furthermore congresses failing business is part of the problem with the car companies. Congress let the banks run wild, intentionally and here we are, the worst recession since the 20′s.
Congress had the nerve to tell the automakers they had to give up their raises, take pay cuts and cut out the corporate jets. Hmmm, I wonder how many congresspeople fly coach? I wonder when congress is going to give back their salaries and work for a dollar. Congress seems to forget who is directly responsible for this debacle.
I’ll tell you who ain’t responsible for this debacle. That’s the car companies. Toyota is not going to have a profit for the first time in 72 years. Damn, their sales are down 36% too. Wonder if congress is going to try and micro manage toyota. Had loans been available at a decent rate the car companies wouldn’t be in near as much trouble as they are now. Hard to sell cars when people can’t get credit.
Why can’t people get credit? Because the banks gave credit to everyone that was possible to give credit to. If you had a pulse and an address you could get a credit card. If you had a job you could even get a loan for a house you couldn’t afford in your life time. They, the bankers, got burned by their own pure greed and stupidity.
Allowing credit card companies to rape the people of this country repeatedly with interest rates that got people sent to jail 30 years ago. If that isn’t credit card rape I don’t know what is. Ya see, if it isn’t happening to the people in congress, it isn’t happening.
So the bailout isn’t working. Lol, maybe that’s not true, come to think of it. I guess I’d have to say I think it’s working about as well as congress is working.
