So congress came up with some balls and refused to pass a bill bailing out the wall street firms that don’t need a bailout. IMO what they need is criminal indictments for doing what they did and causing the problems to begin with.
The others who need indicted are the professional lawmakers who passed the relaxed laws and restriction that caused all this mess to happen. If you vote for anyone who voted to relax lending laws you are not very patriotic.
How can I say that? Because the mess the lawmakers are responsible for is hurting our national security and if nothing else the bastards ought to be prosecuted under the Patriot Act they passed that took to many of our rights away.
Bastards also need to rescind the foolish laws they passed on allowing people to file bankruptcy. Dumb bastards made it so the banks and everyone else was practically guaranteed their money so they could make much riskier loans. So here we are.
Then some damn fool politician had the balls to say, on the CBS Early Show, that the American people don’t understand the need for a bailout. Lol, I’m pretty sure we do and I’m pretty sure we know the consequences of not bailing out the greedy bastards and making politicians look like heros for saving the country. If it wasn’t for the damned politicians passing stupid laws earlier we wouldn’t be in this mess.
What the politicians don’t inderstand is we, the American people, don’t give a fat rats ass if some firms on wall street go under. Lying, cheating scheming, fradulent bastards deserve to go under is how most of us feel. Consequences be damned, we don’t want to rescue a bunch of fat cats who gambled and lost.
Wait, they ain’t lost yet. Congress is still working on a bailout. Bunch of goddamn eunuchs afraid to lose all those contributions so they’ll pass something to help their fat cat buddies and screw the American people. Just like they did when they passed all the bills that caused this mess to being with.
Keep emailing and calling your senators and representatives and let them know you don’t want to bail out the greedy wall street bastards, you want to bailout the homeowners who got screwed by the greedy bastards and you want the greedy bastards to rot in jail. Preferably Gitmo with a little water boarding and enhanced interogation.
Lol, we ought to send all the members of congress who voted for enhanced interrogation there for a while to. Cops who use tasers have to take a hit with the taser before they can get certified to use it so why shouldn’t we send congress to Gitmo to take some of what they approved.
Seems they and the greedy fat cat wall street bastards are both dangerous to national security.

I agree 100%! This whole mess is a matter of people gambling they could get more house than they can reasonably afford along with lenders hoping to make a fast buck. Both should be accountable for their bad decisions.
Unfortunately, we no longer have a representative democracy. Our elected officials are in the pockets of Big Business. That’s why the Wall Street bailout is even being considered in the first place. Who suffers the consequences of this bailout that tops $1.1 trillion in costs?

This morning on the news, I forget which representative it was, was saying he’s got some problems with the current bailout bill approved by the senate. He also said the bailout bill they are to vote on today is not a very good bill but he’s going to vote for it anyway because something has to be done.
Not to disrespct the house of represetatives but not taking the time to think it through and make it a good bill that does exactly whats needed it’s stupidity.
Getting it done correctly is much more important then getting something done quickly. However he also remarked that when he goes back to his district after the vote people are going to ask him why nothing was done.
So, I assume, that in his opinion doing something, even sloppily, is better than waiting and doing it right.
Of course he also has a reelection problem no matter which way he goes. Most people don’t want Wall street bailed out as they were purely gamblers. The other people don’t want the economy to go to hell anymore than it already has.
I agree that we should just throw them all out and start over.
